PolyParadise '03 Wrap-up...

To just say that PolyParadise and its events "ROCKED" the Playa would be to much of an understatement. We "REALLY ROCKED"!!!!

The entire Burning Man experience from the months of planning to the 'Drive to the Playa'...time on the Playa with New & Old friends alike...and then decompression and time for reflection.

As Kathe, Louise & I started our BM drive with an accident that trashed the trailer and Suburban, we found out how 'Great' our AZBurner family really is...Off the Playa they are the most caring individuals who helped the three of us out when we needed them the most on the highway to gather the Stuff that would make PP come alive. On the Playa our AZBurner family really knows how to put on a Pot Luck!!! Thanks to all of the AZBurners who came to the party on Wednesday. There were so many new faces there, it was truly  incredible. To have the re-commitment ceremony between 2 AZBurners in a 'Poly' camp surely made the evening even more special. Thanks to Erika for providing the 'Broom' for the ceremony.

As word of our accident & mishap on the way to the Playa spread over many lists...many of "YOU" and other BM & Playa friends generously donated monies to the three of us to help offset the large outlay we faced after the accident. For that generosity I cannot thank you all enough. It is only when we are down on our luck do we really see how great "Family & Community" really are. I love each and everyone of you...I know I speak for both Kathe & Louise when we say THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH for your precious gifts...

PolyParadise...You all need to give yourselves a hand and look around and see & reflect at what an awesome space we created together...one that was enjoyed by "Many" on the Playa. I very much appreciated when you all helped, volunteered or were hog-tied to doing a share of the work it takes to put on the kind of camp we do. I had the most awesome time providing for each of you in whatever your needs may have been...Being Camp Daddy is an absolute "Gas" and I would very much enjoy continuing in that role...If of course you would all have me as such... ;)

So now is the time to thank those that need to be thanked...

Thanks to Shangri-La Village for making PolyParadise feel so very welcome within your borders. I know not the plans of this group of camps for next year on the Playa or under what leadership it may find itself...But that is no matter cause KUDOS all around for all the other Camp Daddies of SLV and of course a big Hats Off to our Village Mayor - Marc "The Viagra" Bruce....You Really Rock!!!

Thanks to Steve 'Water Log' Iddings for taking on the task of educating us all, SLV, Earth Guardians and our small area of the Playa about "Water Ecology". Steve, your dedication & hard work are so very much appreciated by all of us and I am sure by all SLV campers. I thank you as well for being there for me when I needed your help or guidance on the Playa...I Love You Man!!!

Thanks to Darlene & all who helped erect PolyWomb. Having this awesome space within our camp was way cool, a place out of the wind and dust and a place to cuddle and a place to get close.

Thanks to Kingsley who took the necessary time to be our Trash Czar. I thank you for keeping on top of the garbage situation and making sure that our own LNT efforts were adhered to.

Thanks to Greg Davidson & all who helped out with the HCW and Hair Washing. Your dedication and service to this event made it the best HCW PP has ever hosted. You should be VERY proud of your accomplishments...Thanks as well to the best HCW Barker we have ever had...Louise Rocks!!!

Thanks to all those that made and or contributed to the Community Meals...We had food and then some as each night we recruited many Playa people to share and finish our bountiful meal. DCLynn/Costello/Mega....That Beef Burgundy really ROCKED!!!

Thanks to all of you for volunteering or being Hog-Tied into helping with Community Structure issues, I very much appreciated the help.

Thanks to DCLynn & Costello for the Cuddle Pool...I know I VERY much enjoyed that awesome space...Thanks for making it be a part of our space...

Thanks to Big Mike & Co for providing those awesome mixes of music and fragrance during the HCW each day....Having those awesome oldies tunes while people were getting washed was priceless.

Thanks to all those that facilitated Poly High Tea during the week and thanks to Mim for facilitating the Oral Sex Talk.

Thanks to Reaps & Erika for providing myself and Kingsley with a massage and for allowing myself & Reaps to return the massage favor upon Erika.

It was so very nice to have Jim & Leanna rejoin us this year...Your kind  words about the energy of our space and our camp is a true tribute to all those that camp within in borders. Know you will always be welcome in PP...

Awesome to have Ross, Mary & Jody with us...Thanks for bringing your energy & spirit and making it part of PolyParadise...You are always welcome to join us on the Playa...

Of course I shall not forget all the amazing efforts that Kathe put forth in getting us to the Playa, being the Kitchen Goddess and all the great work she did and continues to do in her Playa volunteer efforts with the Bus Station and Ranger HQ.

Thanks you all for volunteering or for being Hog-Tied into to taking some 'Community Trash' home with you...Your 'Leave No Trace' efforts and concerns are and were greatly appreciated.

Start planning for next year, cause BRC will arise and fall again in 2004 along with PolyParadise!!!
