Additional expenses for '05 included the replacement of several Tables that were damaged in their use in '04. Ice continues to be a BIG part of our expenses as it takes a LOT of ice to keep all the Community Snacks cold all week. I hope that everyone thought they got their monies worth in available snacks & kitchen resources....

We calculated for 3 snacks per person per day and we left the Playa with NOT very much after many of you took some for the ride home

As you know we had some Generator problems...The replacement Generator from the non-working '03 model worked well for the first 3 days, albeit loud and then it quit.  Cactusman came through with a generator and then it died too.  Power was borrowed and gas donated to a generator within The Firestation camp to power the Water Reclamation project the rest of the week.

What does that all mean...We had $120.00 left over and that went towards the cost of Gas for the Rental Truck.  I know each of you was affected as the price of gas DOUBLED since the Playa '04, and of course the SPIKE in prices after Hurricane Katrina.  The cost round trip from Phoenix to BRC was $800 in Gas.  I know you all felt the pinch as well, but I feel justified in recouping some of that money with the $120 left from this years budget.  We have a $0 balance heading into '06.

In addition to the above expenses, the cost of the Rental Truck was $1700, in the past I personally have absorbed this cost as I was heading to the Playa anyway, and gave it to the Camp as my GIFT.  Due to my own financial situation I will no longer be able to subsidize this cost.

What does this all mean?  The costs of camping with PolyParadise for 2006 and beyond will need to defray the costs of Truck Rental & Gas Consumption.  Therefore the cost of camping with PolyParadise will be @ LEAST $50/Person  and possibly higher.

What would you be willing to pay to camp with PolyParadise? $50? $60?
