When, where and why did you decide on attending:
In Y2K I was living in the Bay Area and working in SV, I'd heard about BM from fellow geeks and read about it in the SJ Merc and was intrigued. After talking to numerous folks about it, I knew that BM was someplace that I wanted to be, but didn't attend until '02 because I didn't want to go alone.

Why do you keep going back?
BM is an amazing experience, where you are stripped of all of the outside barriers to other people--few physical walls to insulate you from the more basic "realness" of other people. On the Playa, the social structure is vastly different and the daily roles that tend to insulate us from others also melt away. I love the entire experience--the people, the costumes, the art, the music. The entire experience has changed my life and it continues to flow off-playa, infusing the rest of my daily existence--meeting new burner friends off-playa is very kewl--there seems to be some sort of homing device that bring us together.

What projects have you been involved with?
- 2002- Involved with HCW at Poly Domes, mostly just dug the vibe and the experience.

- 2003- Created Tranquility Bay and TF with the help of some Poly Domes ex pats. Held a Tantric Puja. Gifted wedding photos and video to four couples getting hitched during BM.

- 2004- Second year building TB. Did Pyro--what an absolute adrenaline rush to climb up onto the burn platform, wire it up, and climb back down, gently praying that the explosives 3 inches from your crotch don't go off quite yet.

What would you like to experience at Burning Man in 2008?
Get better connected with the PP tribe, at last, meeting these wonderful folks F2F! As far as projects this year, I'm working on a documentary film and want to create the World's Largest Peace Sign around the perimeter of the Esplanade, hoping to get it photographed via flyover by Aviator Camp. We're also planning on tantric pujas in the Blissdome, highlighted with a starfield and cloud nebula on the ceiling. Besides that, I'd like to spend more time photographing art. One goal is to not overcommit myself like I have a habit of doing.
