Ken Haslam, MD, 72 - is a retired anesthesiologist who for the past ten years has been living and teaching about responsible, ethical, and consensual multipartnering or Polyamory.

He is a founding member and past Vice President of Unitarian Universalists for Polyamory Awareness, a board member of the Institute for 21st Century Relationships and a past board member of his Unitarian fellowship. Running out of things to do he recently established a Polyamory Collection of historical Polyamory documents (and other media) at the Kinsey Library, (Yes, that Kinsey) Indiana University and keeps pestering the Poly community to send old Poly stuff to the collection instead of throwing it in the trash. One day, fifty years from now, scholars studying Polyamory beginnings will appreciate all these dusty documents. (Clean out your file cabinets of really old (more than 5 years) Poly stuff and bring them to BM and I will put them into the library.)

He has been married 2.5 times and is a failed serial monogamist, now single, a bachelor, but not alone having a (as she says) number one hen in the hen house for some ten years and more than one OSO and one Significant OSO who is a LDR. He cheats on his Poly partners by having an ongoing torrid affair with his live aboard boat, plays the flute (badly), a Unitarian Pagan camp-follower, spends too much time at the computer, and loves riding roller coasters.

Drinks and smokes a little. He is a firm 0.75 on the Kinsey Scale, dabbles a bit in BDSM lite, and swings a bit when doing presentations at Lifestyle conventions. Yes, really!
